Earnings Disclaimer
Working template: fill in every item marked [TO COMPLETE], settle every [TO CONFIRM] choice, and have this page reviewed by a US-licensed lawyer before launch. Every income figure, projection, testimonial and success claim in the app, on the website, in emails and in ads must be consistent with this page and backed by evidence: a disclaimer does not fix a misleading claim.
Shopclic, operated by [TO COMPLETE: company legal name], gives you tools and guidance to launch an online store. We want you to make that decision with realistic expectations. This disclaimer applies to everything we publish: the website, the app, emails, social media, ads, videos, and statements by our team and partners.
1. No guarantee of income
We do not guarantee that you will make any money, make any sales, or earn back what you spend. Shopclic is software and educational content, not a job or an investment. You create, own and run your own store: we don't run it for you, find customers for you, or buy back any products. [TO CONFIRM: that this matches the product and how it is marketed]
2. Typical results: most people make little or no money
Most people who start an online store make little or no money, and many lose money once they pay for ads, products and tools. Building a profitable store usually takes time, money, testing and persistence, and many attempts never become profitable.
We don't yet have reliable data on the typical results of Shopclic customers. [TO COMPLETE: once you have data, publish it here, e.g., "Of customers who launched a store between [date] and [date], X% made at least one sale within 30 days; median revenue was $Y and median profit $Z." The data must cover all customers, not only successful ones.]
3. Projections in the app are scenarios, not promises
The app shows revenue projections, potential ranges, margins and other figures. These are hypothetical scenarios, calculated from your quiz answers and from assumptions we chose, such as selling price, product cost, conversion rate, advertising cost and number of orders. [TO COMPLETE: list the main assumptions and their sources]
- They are illustrations, not predictions or promises, and they are not typical results.
- Real results depend on many factors the calculation can't know (see Section 5).
- Revenue is not profit. A projection may not include all of your costs, such as ads, shipping, returns, fees and taxes. [TO CONFIRM: which costs the projection includes]
4. Testimonials and success stories: results not typical
Any testimonial, review, screenshot, case study or success story we share describes one person's experience. These results are not typical, and you should not expect to achieve them. Typical results are described in Section 2.
- Testimonials come from real customers and reflect their honest experience. [TO CONFIRM]
- If someone received something in return for a testimonial (such as free access, a discount or payment), or has a connection with us (such as an employee or partner), we say so next to the testimonial.
- We don't publish fake reviews, edit reviews to change their meaning, or hide negative reviews.
- Anything labeled as an example, such as a sample calculation, is an illustration, not a real customer result.
5. Your results depend on you, and on things you don't control
Results vary widely from one person to another. They depend on, among other things:
- the time, effort and consistency you put in;
- your skills, your experience and the money you're able to invest;
- the product you choose, its quality, its price and the competition;
- how well your store, offer, videos and ads work;
- advertising costs, which can change quickly;
- decisions by platforms you rely on, such as ad rejections, account restrictions or payment holds;
- suppliers, shipping times, product quality issues, returns and chargebacks;
- import duties, tariffs, taxes and regulations;
- market trends, seasonality and the economy.
6. Starting a store costs money
Shopclic is only one of your costs. Expect to pay for things like a store platform subscription (for example Shopify), a domain name, apps, product samples or inventory, shipping, payment processing fees, advertising and taxes. Money spent on ads can produce no sales at all. Only invest money you can afford to lose, and keep track of your costs.
7. "Winning products" means potential, not proof
We call the products we recommend "winning products" because they meet our selection criteria, such as trend signals, estimated margin and ease of marketing. [TO CONFIRM: actual criteria] The label doesn't mean that a product has sold well for other Shopclic users or that it will sell for you. Markets change, and a product that works for one store may not work for another.
8. The first-sale guarantee is a refund promise, not an income promise
Our 14-day first-sale guarantee lets you get your plan refunded if you follow the method and make no sale, under the conditions in our Refund Policy. It doesn't mean that following the method will lead to sales, and it doesn't cover your other costs, such as ads, samples or your store platform.
9. AI-generated content
AI-generated store briefs, visuals and video ads are starting points. We don't guarantee how they will perform, that ad platforms will approve them, or that they will lead to sales. You're responsible for reviewing them and making sure your ads are accurate and lawful.
10. Affiliates and partners
- Some people who recommend Shopclic earn a commission when you buy through their link or referral code. They must clearly disclose this relationship.
- Partners may not make income or results claims about Shopclic that go beyond this page. If you see one, please tell us at support@shopclic.ai.
- Shopclic may also earn commissions from some tools it recommends, such as store platforms or payment services, at no extra cost to you.
11. Not professional advice
Nothing in Shopclic is financial, investment, legal, tax or accounting advice. Before making business decisions, consider talking to a qualified professional, such as an accountant or a lawyer.
12. Questions
If you have a question about this disclaimer, or about a claim you've seen about Shopclic, email support@shopclic.ai [TO COMPLETE: confirm support email].
